No. We only support publicly accessible videos. Private and unlisted videos require authentication that we don't support, in order to protect creator privacy.

Any modern browser on any device — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge on phones, tablets, and computers. No app installation or browser extension required.

Common reasons include backing up your channel in case of a takedown, re-editing published videos with updated branding, extracting audio for a podcast, repurposing clips as Instagram Reels or TikToks, and building offline portfolios for client presentations.

YouTube videos fail to download for several reasons: the video is age-restricted and requires login verification, the video is set to private or uses a restricted unlisted link, the creator has enabled DRM (digital rights management) protection, or the video was removed after you copied the URL. Videos that require a YouTube sign-in to view in the browser also require authentication that external tools cannot provide, making them inaccessible to downloaders.

Troubleshooting YouTube Downloads

"Video unavailable" or region-restricted

Some YouTube videos are restricted to certain countries by the uploader. If the video doesn't play in your browser either, it's geo-blocked. A VPN may help you access the original page, but the download tool respects the same restrictions.

No 4K option available

4K downloads are only available if the original video was uploaded in 4K resolution. Most YouTube content maxes out at 1080p. Check the quality options in the YouTube player to confirm what the uploader provided.

Audio and video are out of sync

This can happen with very long videos (over 2 hours). Try downloading at a lower resolution, which uses a simpler encoding format that avoids sync issues.

Age-restricted video won't download

YouTube requires sign-in for age-restricted content. If you can only watch the video while logged in, the download tool cannot access it without authentication.

Downloading YouTube videos for personal offline use is generally covered by YouTube's terms, but redistribution or commercial use of copyrighted content requires permission from the rights holder. Always respect creator copyright.
