Make sure the video is public, the link is complete (TikTok share links can sometimes be truncated), and the video hasn't been deleted. If the issue continues, try opening the video in a browser first to confirm it's accessible, then copy that URL. Clearing your browser cache can also help.

The most common causes are: the account is set to private, the video was deleted after you copied the link, or the creator has disabled downloads in their TikTok privacy settings (Settings → Privacy → Downloads). When a creator disables downloads in TikTok, that restriction applies to third-party tools as well, not just the in-app save button. If it is your own video and download keeps failing, verify your TikTok privacy settings allow saves.

TikTok videos that use tracks from TikTok's licensed music library may have the audio stripped during the download process because those licenses cover only in-app playback. This is the same reason TikTok's own save feature produces silent videos for some tracks in certain regions. To avoid this with your own content, use original audio or royalty-free music that you have rights to reproduce. Videos with your own recorded audio or voiceovers will always download with sound intact.
